There are two different types of entertainment software. Some are for enhancing a home media experience, while others are for the creation of new media files.
Programs Used For Creating Entertainment Files
Entertainment Software programs used for the creation of media files include Marcromedia (Adobe) Flash, Windows Movie Maker, Real One compressing products, and Audacity (Sound Recording program). People can create entire albums and collection of music or video to be streamed on a website.
Another type of entertainment software that is used to create hard media such as entertainment DVDs and CDs. A person could even create their own home media publishing and production company with the right equipment, which can be done for fairly inexpensive rates.
Other types of entertainment software that may be used to create new media presentations include web cam or camcorder capture software. You might also need digital photo processing software as well.
Most of the entertainment software that you install is very easy to install. Usually the installation time is within minutes of download completion. The only time the installation takes a little longer is if you are using an older computer with a 56K modem (dialup modem).

Publishers who are interested in creating different types of media files are able to create them in a variety of different ways. One of the ways in which media files are created is by using a recording and sound editing program. Audacity is a great free program for people to start out with that are just getting their feet wet.
Then, after using Audacity, the files then can be converted to an MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WMA, or other type of media file. Depending upon which file format you want to use, you will need a variety of different software programs for this purpose.
When you use Audacity, it usually works well with LAME, which is a file that you download that has a .dll extension. LAME is also known as the LAME Library Download.
It is not exactly a specific type of application, but rather a type of application that draws upon a variety of computer processes. It is not recommended for all computers. However, generally speaking it is safe for most, but could slow a computer down a little.
If you want to take a simpler route, you may consider using Roxio or Windows Media recording tools. The editing capabilities are not as extensive, but you can still make basic recordings, and use a combination of both programs to make your presentations better.
Entertainment Software For The Listener Or User
Other type of entertainment software is used by the user and recipient of media. For instance, some people install video game software on their computers. Moreover, it is very common for people to have media players installed on their computers (i.e. Real One, Flash, Windows Media, Apple Quicktime, iPod).
Usually it does not take much work for these types of media players to be installed. Usually with these devices users can involve themselves in a variety of different types of enjoyment.
People who have entertainment software installed on their PCs can play video games, listen to recorded music, watch a television program, view a favorite movie, and so on.
More people are even using their computer as a Karaoke Machine, and certain types of disks can be used with installed Karaoke software. Karaoke media files that are compatible with certain types of software can also be used as well.
